R. Scott Whitehead was born in Ozark, Alabama in 1970 and moved to Destin in 1982, having resided in Northwest Florida for over 23 years.  Mr. Whitehead is a Fort Walton Beach High School graduate; and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1993, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1997.

Mr. Whitehead specializes primarily in Criminal and Family Law, (to include drug cases, DUIs, all felonies and misdemeanors, divorce, child custody, modifications, contempt, guardianship and adoption) Civil Litigation, as well as Real Estate closings. He is currently serving Bay, Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton Counties.  

Mr. Whitehead is admitted to practice law in all County and Local Courts in the State of Florida and is a member of the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association (prior Vice President), and Florida Bar.  Mr. Whitehead is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of America.
